Hats off to you

"I want to find out who I am, embrace my weird and guide my beautiful young kids to embrace theirs"

Emily G

Last week, we passed the highlighter over to you. And the Mojo community - true to form - answered the call to adventure.

It has been a joy to read every single one of your submissions, because what hit our inbox wasn’t just about post-it notes or highlighted pages. We got to hear about human-being experiences, both the highs and the lows, and the powerful shifts that make it all worthwhile.

That’s what sharing stories is all about.

Not the Mojo hats - though we do love giving them away! It’s about what happens when one person's story reaches someone else at exactly the right moment. When we can start connecting the dots on our hero’s journey.

So while we're spotlighting 3 stories this week, it’s important to say: every submission matters equally, and we truly respect and value them all.

Past entries stay in our pool - your story could be featured in any future newsletter. We'll keep going back through everything we've received, old and new, because our number one goal is to celebrate where the light gets in for everyone.

This week, we're celebrating Jodie, Terri and Emily 👇

Jodie

"Hello Mojo Team. I am thoroughly enjoying Ben's new book, in fact it has come at a really great time as I am moving into my 'this year I am 50' phase of life.

I have been doing some work with my counsellor; unpacking why I feel certain feelings, why I make certain choices to believe certain things, so reading this book is helping make this clearer.

I have just read perspective shift #7; from powerless to powerful. Aha!! I have attached two photos outlining a thought I documented on January 1 this year which I think reflects this chapter and the way I am aiming to move through this year (and beyond!). Thanks again.”

"But for today I will ____ and commit to one thing to be happy about, grateful for, excited about or focused to achieve - to simply make today meaningful."

That’s the beauty of Triple A mindset muscles. Thank you for sharing, Jodie. We’re excited to see where 2026 takes you and your family 🙏

Terri

"Agency Acceptance Appreciation. These 3 things have got me through many tough times, whilst riding the waves of life.

My mantra: 'Ride the waves of life, dancing along every wave, my way. I get to choose to live in this moment, with no regrets, trusting my soul with its eternal light and love.'

I love your work Ben Crowe, it resonates with me on so many levels, loving the journey, it's a daily practice.

I embrace my weird” 🤣

Terri, we love that you’ve arrived at the same pages as Jodie - but coming from your own path and unique life experiences. Here’s to riding waves, and leaning into agency, courage and love!

Emily

“Hello Mojo Crowe Crew! I was new to the blog this week and I wanted to share two sections from the book. I am only at page 134 so far. Desperately trying to finish the book before going to see Ben at the book tour on Tuesday night in Brisbane.

I was previously a high-level national umpire who struggled with expectations and self-worth and honestly just struggled mentally. I then left the game because I could not cope for one more game. Those awful E words got the better of me.

I then became a mum and if I am totally honest, my self-worth was wrapped up in being an umpire and now being a mum. There those E words are again creeping in on me, never feeling like enough and never feeling like I am meeting the expectations.

So when I truly try to ask myself who I am, I can't even begin to work that out. But this book is definitely helping me. Although the process of telling my story and finding who Emily the human being is is a very, very rough process, and I am finding myself crying more than I thought I would.

[This] first page resonates with me because I want to find out who I amembrace my weird and guide my beautiful young kids to embrace theirs.

This second section broke me and rebuilt all at once. I am also proud that young girls can speak up and squash the expectations and say ‘I am enough.’ I am also jealous that I still cannot say I am enough and acknowledge that the expectations of others do not impact who I am.

This young girl inspires me the most of any of the examples in the book so far. Thank you so much Ben for what you do, and this wonderful book. Stay weird.”

Emily, thank you for your courage and vulnerability. For sharing these beautiful, messy, still-figuring-it-out parts of your story. This is all part of the journey, and you’re already on your way to finding those answers 🫶🏻

Three different stories. One universal journey. Discovering where the light gets in.

Now, there are more special edition Embrace Your Weird hats to give away in the coming weeks, and we'll keep dipping back into every submission we receive - old and new. If you’ve already reached out, your past entry is still very much in the mix.

To share your story 👇

Your story might just be the one that helps someone else connect the dots on their hero's journey.

Happy reading!

Just In Case You Missed It

The final leg of our Where the Light Gets In book tour landed at Brisbane Powerhouse on Tuesday night - passionate, warm, and all-in from the moment the lights went up.

One of our favourite moments was getting to hear the incredible Kat Feeney share her very own Who Am I? reflection with the room, followed by Crowey sharing his. There’s nothing quite like authentic storytelling to connect a room full of strangers.

Brisbane also brought the next generation in full force - including one 14-year-old who had already finished the book! We’re impressed and stoked, to say the least.

Thank you Brisbane for a beautiful evening to close out the tour (for now!) and to Kat for her generosity and vulnerability in hosting 🙏
